LushBert is a joint venture between Bert Energy GmbH (Germany, biogas engineering and technology since 2010) and Lush Farms (Kenya). We supply, install and operate biogas and Black Soldier Fly systems that turn kitchen, farm and market waste into Cooking Gas (Heating and Hot Water), fertiliser and new revenue — for schools, farmers, cooperatives and communities.

Bert Energy GmbH has built 140+ biogas installations since 2012 and over 70 million kWh produced annually across European sites — engineering experience now built into the new Bert Panel Fermenter with Mira Carbon technology and robotic assembly (patent pending).

Lush Bert Ltd (registered in Kenya) delivers local installation, operation and farmer/community relationships — from Lush Farms' own demonstration site to schools and cooperatives nationwide.
Meet the team
Thomas Dory
Bert Energy GmbH, Germany
40+ years of experience in engineering and management. Thomas developed Bert Energy's original farm-scale biogas systems and now leads the new Bert Panel Fermenter with Mira Carbon technology and robotic assembly (patent pending). Thomas leads LushBert's German side — engineering, technology transfer and international partnerships.
Faith Miriti
Director, Lush Bert Ltd
Runs Lush Farms — pig, poultry and fish farming, plus Black Soldier Fly production — big on value addition and will lead the 3BL Cooperative.
Anthony (Antony Muigai Njoroge)
Founded Lush Farms and became known through BBC News Africa for turning chicken waste into power for his home, car and workshop.
